DiCaprio's speech

Hello folks!
visto il successo dell'attività sul recentissimo discorso di Leonardo DiCaprio alla notte degli oscar vi inserisco qua il video e anche la trascrizione in inglese di quello che ha detto.
Abbiamo lavorato sia sulla comprensione orale che su quella scritta quindi nn dovreste avere problemi a riascoltarlo e a capire quello che il grande attore ci dice.
Ricordatevi che per lui era l'occasione di una vita, un premio ambitissimo (il più importante al mondo per ogni attore), lo ha atteso per tantissimi anni (il precedente video ci ha spiegato come già vent'anni fa era in odore di Oscar), moltissime volte è stato dato per favorito e se l'è visto soffiare da sotto il naso e questa volta che riesce a coronare il suo sogno cosa fa? invece di dire quanto sono stato bravo, come di solito più o meno fanno gli attori, approfitta del fatto di avere milioni di persone che lo stanno ascoltando in tutto il mondo per dire che il surriscaldamento del globo è un'emergenza che nn possiamo più trascurare.

 And lastly, I just want to say this: Making The Revenant was about man's relationship to the natural world. A world that we collectively felt in two thousand and fifteen as the hottest year in recorded history. Our production needed to move to the southern tip of this planet just to be able to find snow. Climate change is real, it is happening right now. It is the most urgent threat facing our entire species, and we need to work collectively together and stop procrastinating. We need to support leaders around the world who do not speak for the big polluters, the big corporations, but who speak for all of humanity, for the indigenous people of the world, for the billions and billions of underprivileged people who would be most affected by this. For our children’s children, and for those people out there whose voices have been drowned out by the politics of greed. I thank you all for this amazing award tonight. Let us not take this planet for granted. I do not take tonight for granted. Thank you so very much.
